King Charles Spaniel

What does a King Charles spaniel need in order to be happy?

The King Charles spaniel is the perfect pet for a family with children because this breed is known to be great around children due to its energetic and socializing nature.

They are an active breed that enjoys pleasing their human family in every way possible and they can do that thanks to their intelligence and obedience. They’re extremely loveable and loving as well and they can enjoy running around you as much as they enjoy lying around during family down times. This is a very charming breed of dog and its only major requirement is that of attention and socialization from its human family.

That is probably the most important thing to know about the King Charles spaniel, the fact that they need constant human interaction and socialization in order to be happy and develop properly. That’s why they’re perfect as a family pet, because the children will definitely supply that demand and then some.

When it comes to their exercising needs they’re always ready to take brisk walks with their owners or just clown around in the backyard, but as it was said before, they will be equally happy to be dozing near their family when it’s required of them. Thanks to their temperament they bond easily with all the members of the family but just as most dogs they will prefer to interact with children if there are any.

They are quite intelligent and this makes them very good learners and it actually makes them very eager learners, enjoying the fact that they get to interact in a very straight forward way with their family and pleasing their family at the same time. Thanks to their socializing nature they will respond very well to praise and treats during their training.

The King Charles spaniel is the perfect pet for a family or owner who absolutely has the time to spend daily with his companion because for all the love and attention that the dogs give to their owners they require the same amount back. These aren’t dogs that are made to stay alone in the house for hours upon hours while you’re at work, they need constant attention which means that somebody must usually be at home to keep it company. When their socializing requirements aren’t fulfilled they start to develop behavioural problems and nervousness in the company of humans they don’t know or normal human behaviour that they haven’t been exposed to.
